CalCoastNews.com needs your help to stay the course
October 18, 2008
Do you enjoy reading CalCoastNews.com’s in-depth news and commentary? Do you like the investigative stories that the mainstream media often ignores until there is an arrest made or a press release provided? Now is your chance to make sure this valuable local resource stays strong.
Our investigative reporting, the results of which are now quite apparent, requires both time and resources. We are currently investigating issues ranging from government mismanagement to local bank officials providing unsecured loans to cronies, which may have a significant impact on which banks have the resources to weather our country’s current economic crisis. Your contribution, large or small, is vital to the success of this community voice.
We need your help to continue our task. We look not only for one-time doners but also donors able to contribute a nominal monthly amount, such as $10 to $50, so we can continue to operate, add more resources to the areas we cover, and improve our technology. Contribute by check or by PayPal. Click on the donate button in the toolbar above for more information and access to our PayPal options.
One of our readers posted what we here at CalCoastNews think is a great idea: If you like this site and think it should continue to report on San Luis Obispo County activities, tell ten friends about CalCoastNews, and ask each of them to tell ten friends. Help pass the word. Suggest to your business friends that they advertise; it makes good economic sense. We thank the many people who have contributed to CalCoastNews. Help real journalism survive. — The Editors
