Cal Poly student arrested for dealing drugs to teens

Quinn Hall

A Cal Poly freshman was arrested for allegedly selling a psychoactive stimulant to two teenagers who became violently ill from the drug.

Experiencing symptoms that included a sore throat, violent vomiting, euphoria and elevated body temperatures, the two 15-year-old Templeton boys were taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital where they were treated for Mephedrone ingestion on Sept.11.

Sheriff deputies arrested Quinn Alister Hall, 18, of Templeton for selling the drugs to the teenagers. He allegedly told the Templeton boys the drug was similar to ecstasy.

Mephedrone comes in a fine white to off white powder form that can be mixed in liquid, injected or inhaled and may come in tablet or capsule form. The drug is fairly new to the United States.

It is believed to cause small holes to appear in the lungs and can also result in an embolism, sheriff officials said.

Hall was in possession of over two pounds of Mephedrone when he was arrested and charged with child endangerment and sales of a controlled substance on Sept. 21.

Hall was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail and released on $100,000 bail.

Deputies are asking parents to talk to their children about this drug and its potentially harmful effects.

The real tragedy is that those two survived and were able to send a good man to jail. They should have been taught to take responsibility for their actions instead of blaming others.

maybe all you haters should actually get to know this family and stop judging him off of a mistake! most of you don’t know who he really is.

wow. most of you people on here are so ignorant it’s ridiculous. those wuss a** punks went out that night looking to get high. it’s not quinn’s fault he happened to be the one who sold it to them. anyone who goes out to get hard drugs should know what they are dealing with before ingesting the substance and not blame someone else for their own mistake. ALSO where the f*ck were the boys parents that night. shouldn’t they be held accountable for at least knowing their fifteen year olds whereabouts, i know my parents sure did when i was that age. why would you try to bring someone down because of YOUR lack of judgement? anyone who consumes hard drugs should be man enough to not rat out your dealer!!! it’s not their fault you can’t handle your sh*t. enough said.

I wasn’t planning on posting, I came by here looking for some specific information but something more important has now caught my attention. Damn It, I suggest that you listen up and you do it NOW. You’re talking about how it’s their (the buyers) own fault if they can’t handle it and how they knew what they were buying and how it’s their own stupid fault that they took too much. Yes that may all be true but get this:

Quinn is an adult and the kids he sold the illegal drugs to are minors. It doesn’t matter if they were stupid and took too much. If one of them had over dosed and died ; Quinn would be going to PRISON for a LONGGGGGGGG TIME. Do you read what happens to a drunk or drugged driver when they kill somebody? Do you think it would be any different for Quinn because I guarantee you that it wouldn’t be, in fact it would be worse. They would charge him (or you if you had sold the drugs) with Murder2 and make it stick. Now grow the fuck up. I don’t like using 4 letter words but maybe it will catch your attention.
