Consumer Reports: In-N-Out Best Burger
September 8, 2010
The new issue of Consumers Reports confirms what almost anybody in California, Nevada, Utah, or Arizona already knows: In-N-Out makes the best burger. [Consumer Reports]
The magazine surveyed 28,000 online subscribers and asked them to rate the burgers at 18 fast food restaurants. In-N-Out came out on top.
Ranked near the bottom: Wendy’s and Burger King.
Ranked at the very bottom: McDonald’s. Here’s the review of the Golden Arches:
“The basic burger was one 3.5-ounce patty with pickle slices, bits of chopped raw onion, and a dab of ketchup and mustard, served on a lightly browned bun. The meat tasted mild and more greasy than beefy. It was easier to bite through than the Five Guys patty and was uniformly round and brownish-gray. The major flavor came from the toppings. The bun was airy and bland.”
In-N-Out restaurants can be found locally in Santa Maria and Atascadero. A new Arroyo Grande location is set to open later this year.
