Missing Shandon man found and arrested

A man reported missing from Shandon has been located and arrested, said the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies said Rodolfo Contreras, 32, had been missing for two days. He was last seen at his home on Peaceful Valley Road on Wednesday night.

Contreras notified the sheriff’s department on Saturday that he had returned home and had been “voluntarily missing.”

Deputies then arrested Contreras for an unrelated outstanding felony warrant and booked him into San Luis Obispo County Jail.

That’s some funny stuff. The man must be mad.

I would like to be “voluntarily missing” but I cannot. It’s called “responsibilities”. A good old-fashioned, getting highly out-dated” term for taking care of the business of your life.


I bet he regrets having informed the law that he was “voluntarily missing”. He now has “unvoluntarily

found” himself smack dab in the pokey!
