Los Osos man accused of attempted murder

A Los Osos man is in jail on suspicion of attempted murder after he allegedly assaulted a woman Friday evening.
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff deputies arrived at a Los Osos home on the 1800 block of Seventh Street and discovered a 56-year-old woman unconscious on the floor. Emergency personnel then transported the victim, suffering from serious injuries, to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael VanHeuver, 23, on suspicion of attempted murder and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
