New SLO County administrator announced
July 25, 2012
Dan Buckshi is the new San Luis Obispo County administrative officer, the Board of Supervisors announced on Tuesday.
Buckshi succeeds Jim Grant, who recently announced his plan to retire in September.
The county picked Buckshi, who has served as the assistant county administrative officer for the past two and a half years, over four other candidates, all of whom are presently employed by the county.
“I am extremely pleased with the board’s selection,” said Jim Patterson, chairman of the board of supervisors. “Mr. Buckshi’s experience with the county’s budget and finances, as well as his vision for the county, strategic skills and positive leadership style, will serve the county well.”
