A CHP officer attempted to stop 21-year-old Juan Benitez around 3:20 p.m. Sunday on Highway 101 near Nipomo. But, Benitez, an Arroyo Grande resident, did not stop and instead drove to Santa Maria.

Benitez exited the freeway on Broadway and sideswiped several cars before crashing head on into a Mazda on Donovan Road.

Two passengers received treatment in a hospital for moderate injuries. After officers arrested Benitez, he, too, went to the hospital. The only passenger in the stolen truck who did not sustain any injuries was a two-year-old.

Mike and Myself….thank-you for my first laugh of the day….

You are both so right!

Just shows you the regard for life people have when they do this type of action with a 2 year old in the car. This is the lowest form of life. I;m keeping my gun!!

I’d just bet if this guy had a license he would be a better driver.

And he would have bought insurance.

Yep, them driver’s licenses are a cure-all for all road ills, aren’t they. Just more evidence that guvmint works:–(
