Los Osos church vandals found but not arrested

June 14, 2013

churchSan Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s investigators found two suspects who admitted to vandalizing a Los Osos church Sunday morning, but they did not make any arrests.

An 18-year-old Morro Bay man and a 19-year-old Los Osos man admitted to vandalizing St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church early Sunday morning after initially denying doing so.

Around 4 a.m. Sunday, vandals broke seven stained glass windows and three other windows.

The Sheriff’s Office is forwarding the case to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office, but is not releasing the identities of the suspects.

No other suspects remain in the case.

The Sheriff’s Office says the incident was not a hate crime.

Biblically, let’s just get to the bottom line to save any further useless diatribe in this thread. It’s making Jesus sick that many don’t follow His Father’s direct and inspired commands in a case like this!

HEBREW-CHRISTIAN GOD’S DIRECT INSPIRED WORDS:

“If someone has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. They shall say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his town are to stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.” (Deut 21:18-21)

Lest we forget: “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” ( Proverbs 30:5-6 ) Key words: “EVERY WORD” of our God in the bible is pure, which includes the passage in Deut 21 above. Get it?

Therefore, the eventful outcome of what God’s direct words may seem drastic, but who in the hell is any Christian or Jew to know more than this particular God to usurp His direct inspired words in a case like this?!

On a sidebar, let us all wish Jesus’ Father a happy Father’s Day, praise!

It’s medication time now Ted…take your pills. lol

Rambuntious,

Are you stating that God was wrong in commanding that unruly children should be killed, as biblically shown?

In essence, you’re stating that God should take medication for promoting such an act! How despicable can you get against the teachings and commands of the bible God? Blaspheme!

What do you want me to do Ted hold them down while you beat them? lol …you have a habit of putting words in peoples mouth…is that God Like? is that what God commands you to do? I never said God should take a pill but I bet he would like to after reading your posts. lol happy 4th Ted. go see some fireworks and enjoy life my friend. And thanks for the prayers…I hit the lotto for $375.00 on Saturday.

Whoa there, folks! You have exactly SEVEN sentences of information in this story and you presume to know enough to make harsh judgments and all kinds of assumptions. Why?

Wouldn’t it be prudent to at least seek more information before you draw all your damning conclusions?

Is there any pressing need for your mad and immediate rush to judgment regarding something you know so little about?

It’s sad and troubling to see the ignorant, zealous lynch mob mentality so full blown in our community, as we see on full display in the comments on this thread. Such closed minds! So arrogant and holier-than-thou!

Would it change anyone’s mind if it turns out the vandals were sexually abused by leaders of the church in question? I’m not saying this is what happened but simply giving an example of the kind of circumstances that so many members of the local lynch mob have not even considered in their wild-eyed rush to judgment and punishment. This is the EXACT same attitude that lead to so many innocent and misjudged people being hanged, burnt at the stake, beheaded, whipped and so on in times past. What a shame that members of our community have not evolved further!

WiserGuy,

“This is the EXACT same attitude that lead to so many innocent and misjudged people being hanged, burnt at the stake, beheaded, whipped and so on in times past.”

We don’t need any more biblical facts like the happenings mentioned above in the name of the Hebrew-Christian God’s edicts and commands against His creation. I mention this because the alumni here seem to be tiring of my truthful biblical axioms as well at this time.

Besides, your speculation is no stronger than the ones listed herein.

Shame on you for trying to shift the responsibility for the destruction of private property from the criminals to the victim.

Shame on you for mentioning sexual abuse in an attempt to inflame, obfuscate and misdirect.

The sort of sewage you posted is exactly what has led to a society in which there are no consequences if one gravely misbehaves. Where destruction of church property leads to premature comments like “the Sheriff’s Office says the incident was not a hate crime” and confessions to crimes lead to no arrests.

May God have mercy on your soul.

True, SamLouis. I don’t think its law enforcement’s job to avoid arresting someone simply because theymight have the type of legal defense that may lead to mental health treatment on down the road. That’s between the DA and criminal defense attorney. If the youths did the deed, arrest them and let the judicial system determine the appropriate remedies. That didn’t happen here, and people want to know why not, and why isn’t there more transparency regarding this case thus far.

Sam, you are woefully ignorant about many of the relevant facts of this case and yet you presume to be judge and jury. I happen to think there is something wrong with that.

I see no good whatsoever coming from your lynch mob attitude that you so freely spew along with your lack of respect for our legal system.

You also greatly mischaracterize my statement for your own selfish benefit\. It’s attitudes like yours that are destructive to the well-being of our community. I suggest you step back for a moment and see things from a less ego-centric, holier-than-thou perspective and perhaps you will recognize how your are going off so half-cocked, spewing your anger in ways that don’t help anyone.

What “relevant facts”? You certainly didn’t include any in your posting. All you did was mention sexual abuse in an attempt to inflame, obfuscate and misdirect.

There is no “lynch mob.” There is a demand for transparency and justice.

Your posting was repugnant. You brought up sexual abuse out of no where in an attempt to spin this matter.

You failed.

It is typical for lynch mob leaders to claim at the time of hanging, shooting or beheading people without a fair trial or adequate gathering of facts that what they are doing is satisfying the need for “transparency and justice” just as you are doing.

Why do you promote such a rush to judgment? Wouldn’t it be best for all concerned, and in the name of justice and fairness, to get more relevant facts on the table before drawing conclusions and determining the extent and manner of punishments?

Would not patience serve us better in this situation?

Enough.

I see the lynch mob is out in full force wanting to crush anyone who is different or who doesn’t conform to the prejudices of the crowd.

You already failed with your attempt to inflame, obfuscate and misdirect peoples’ focus away from the crime. Please stop.

That was certainly NOT my intention, so your claim that I “failed” in my “attempt” is not accurate and, ironically, demonstrates you doing exactly what you accuse me of attempting to do. That kind of attitude and behavior is typical of leaders of lynch mobs.

Enough about each other.

Stop it.

The CONFESSED criminals should have been arrested and then judged in a court of law. Spin it any way you like but not arresting them and immediately advertising that this was not a hate crime was wrong. Very wrong.

Confessed to who? Have you heard or read their ” confession”?

Also, how do we know there is not some good reason for not making arrests? I don’t believe the seven sentences of this story gives any reasonable person enough information to make a rational conclusion of such narrow and specific dimensions as some have suggested.

My main point continues to be that there is so little information known that to draw strict and damning conclusions critical of so many various people and public agencies, as we see in this thread, is unwise and not prudent and perhaps may do more harm than good.

Again I ask: Why in this case is there a need to rush to judgment with so few facts on the table?

Stop lying. You tried to shift the blame of this crime from the perpetrators to the victim by bringing up a highly inflammatory (and totally unrelated) issue. Your attempt to crudely misdirect was noticed. You failed.

You should be ashamed of yourself yet you continue to grind away with the hope of justifying your repugnant and bigoted comments.

As the very first sentence of the article says: “San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s investigators found two suspects who admitted to vandalizing a Los Osos church.” That alone should have led to arrests. Then our judicial system could rightly render a verdict. There is no rush to judgement no matter what you say to the contrary.

Circular argument is circular.

You two will never agree.

Thread over.
