SLO County deputies seek murder victim’s identity

San Luis Obispo Sheriff deputies are asking the public for help identifying a Hispanic man found murdered in a drainage ditch in Nipomo on Sept. 17.
Shortly before 5 p.m., a field worker discovered the man’s body partially submerged in the ditch located near the intersection of Division Street and Bonita School Road.
Officials said the victim appears to be in his early 20s to mid-30s, with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 165 pounds. He was wearing red and black Nike Air Jordan tennis shoes and a Lady of Guadalupe medallion.
Officials are asking anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s office at 781-4550 or leave information anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 549-STOP (7867).
