Body found hanging from tree

November 9, 2014

MONTEREY COUNTY SHERIFFA utility worker looking to relive himself discovered a body hanging in a tree on Thursday north of Greenfield, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived to find the decomposing body in a tree off a Highway 101 access road. It appears the person had been hanging from the tree for about three weeks.

Though it appears to be a suicide, coroner’s investigators are working to identify the man and formally establish a cause of death.

It is highly likely this worker will stick to restrooms and porta-potties from now on. That can be dicey too though from what I hear. We live in a rather strange world….expect anything.

Outdoor pit toilets, like they have at campgrounds, can definitely be dicey.

Ever hear the story of Castaic Pere?

No doubt about it. Remember the guy in Morro Bay State Park who get into the women’s restroom and hid at the bottom of the pit toilet, covered in plastic…The DA at the time wasn’t sure how to charge him. There was a law against loitering around a toilet but not literally inside one.
