Grover Beach resident Mark Calixterio, 33, faces charges of sexual assault, domestic violence, false imprisonment and assault with intent to commit sexual assault. He was arrested after arriving for work on Tuesday.
Calixterio’s victim was not a student, according to Cal Poly. Further details about the alleged crimes are currently unclear.
The university says it was notified about the allegations on Monday. University officials say Cal Poly conducted a thorough investigation, which led to Calixterio’s arrest.
Calixterio was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $200,000. The county sheriff’s office website does not list him as still being in custody.
Officials have ordered Calixterio to stay away from campus as his criminal case proceeds.
