Dawn Ortiz-Legg voices gratitude for appointment, Adam Hill

Dawn Ortiz-Legg

In response to her appointment to the San Luis Obispo County District 3 supervisor seat, Dawn Ortez-Legg said she is grateful for all the people  who supported her selection and for former supervisor Adam Hill, in a Facebook post on Sunday.

Ortiz-Legg’s Facebook post:

“It is a super humbling honor to be appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors to represent District 3 Supervisor. It was about 48 hours ago that I received his call and I am finally coming up for air. An appointment is much different than being voted in by the people, but my dedication to all citizens of District 3 and SLO County is beholden just the same.

“My gratitude to each and every one who provided expressions of support, especially the working brothers and sisters of the Labor unions, the business community, Latino organizations, co-workers and associates from all walks of life, Thank you!

“When I applied to be your public servant, I knew it would mean big changes in my life. I will be leaving my position with PG&E, as I must have no conflict of interests to do the job properly. I am proud of my work at PG&E, and acknowledge the incredible dedication to all who keep the power flowing 24/7.

“Here, I am also announcing the end of my marriage. Dan’s incredible work ethic and support has given me much strength and knowledge to be a better supervisor, and we will be friends forever.

“These are important items I needed to share.

“I want to honor the powerful and talented group of applicants who also applied, Mariam Shah, Erica Stewart, Erica Flores Baltodano and Kara Woodruff, and former Supervisor Peg Pinard. Each contributes so much to our community right now, and will continue to pursue their commitments to a better world. I respect and admire each of you, and look forward to supporting your work and future political careers.

“Of course, none of this would have happened, unless the seat was open, and tragically, this opportunity comes at the price of losing one of the most effective, intelligent and dedicated Supervisors, Adam Hill.

“I have lots to say about Adam, his legacy and life and the frailties of being human. He made me laugh and made me mad many, many times. He also made me his planning commissioner, for which I am grateful, as many land use issues come before the Board of Supervisors. Bless his good soul and his family and friends.

“More on Adam to come.”

So, we are rid of a drug addict, and Newsom decides that an alcoholic is just so much better, especially one that was happy to get a DUI.

Know what? I’m NOT moving away now! I can’t wait for the city/county/state implosion as radical leftists dig the socialism hole ever deeper. I want a front row seat to watch the fun!

Hopefully I am mistaken, but it sure sounds she goes home each night – gets down on bended knee – and prays to a large picture of Adam Hill.

Is there any real, verifiable evidence that Hill was one of the most effective, intelligent and dedicated Supervisors. From all I have seen or read, he was a egotistical, narcissistic individual

who got caught doing things no reasonable person should or would do – and instead of taking responsibility for his actions – he chose to take his own life.

ay car umbra, congrats from the other side of the isle.

WOW is definatley the proper word ,she admits abandoning her marriage vows for a job position .

With money as the prize and career advancement .

What else will she do for money and power ?

Stay tuned folks for the next exciting episodes of SLO corruption and FBI raids

Just keeps getting worse.

She is standing by her “mentor”. I think it’s a novice-move, because generally you don’t bring up your mentor’s memory while there’s a serious FBI investigation ongoing, the County issues a sexual harassment pay out, the chronic history of abusing others verbally, the terrible mental issues leading to suicide. In other words, her predecessor was very impaired and had NO place in public life. Why would you align with that? Even if it is ongoing personal affection, she should not be publicly carrying his baggage into her governance seat. Kind of dumb, I think.

It would be amazing if the FBI story got any bigger. If you know what I mean and I think you do.

Two articles running at the same time here on CCN having to do with Adam Hill.

The woman appointed to replace him is singing his praises, while the other is taking her payoff check from her sexual misconduct claim against him to the bank.

Doesn’t that just beat all?

And here we thought we had heard the last of him. NOT.

Just what we don’t need. Another self-serving arrogant radical lefty pushing a Socialist agenda. This “Code Pink” extremist is not good for our county. As for “More on Adam to come”, please spare all of us anything else about him. What are you attempting to cover or soften with the announcement of your divorce? Kind of a strange place and time to comment about that. I look forward to exposing who you really are.

Wow!
