Large narcotic bust in Paso Robles

Paso Robles police arrested two men on Saturday for possession of heroin and methamphetamine for sale.

At about 7 a.m., police served a search warrant at a residence in the 1800 block of Serra Way. During a search of the residence after execution of the search warrant, approximately 5.2 grams of heroin, 10 grams of methamphetamine, numerous pills, scales, hypodermic needles, and drug paraphernalia were located and seized as evidence.

Police arrested Paso John Robert Richardson, 35, on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and narcotics for sale and a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charge. His bail has been set at $25,000.

Police also arrested Christopher Cortelyou, 38, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and narcotics for sale, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors. Police issued Cortelyou a notice to appear in court and released him.

wonder how much was really discovered/seized? much of it i am sure remains covertly in the hands of a select few officers for personal resale and gain via the Ash Management distribution channel of bars, pubs and restaurants.

I know exactly where the busted house is located and I’m fully aware of the traffic in and out of that house. I’m just surprised that it took so long to bust these mopes…
