Business News: Ferrell’s Auto Repair Sold

Ferrell’s Auto Repair, a San Luis Obispo fixture for decades, has been sold. Owner Mike Ferrell announced that the Tank Farm Road operation was recently purchased by service adviser Mike Tanore for an undisclosed price. The new business reopens Monday with the same staff of technicians.

“Mike Tanore wanted to buy a repair shop and I wanted to get out,” said Ferrell, who will now work as the service manager at Dave’s Automotive in Santa Maria.

Meanwhile, Ferrell’s Auto Repair in Atascadero remains unaffected by the sale and will continue to be owned by Ed Ferrell.
