McCarthy KevinAs some aging Republicans have become entirely too divisive, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has managed to get broad support from a party hoping for a big win in 2010. [Miami Herald]

McCarthy, chosen by Congressional insiders as the Republican member of congress with the brightest future, has been elected by his party to head recruiting efforts. From New York to Louisiana, McCarthy, whose district includes much of North County and Arroyo Grande, is driving the back roads searching for fresh faces.

If Republicans can pick up 41 seats in 2010, they regain control of the House of Representatives. With 77 Democratic seats and 26 Republican seats up for grabs, political analysts expect Republicans to gain some ground.

utube, you rock,I just clicked on that ad and I was defiantly afraid to put in my email,no matter what party I am in, it’s a frightening advertisement, and like a lot of my writings it should be corrected or deleted, just look at the chicks eyes, must of gone through a thousand actors to find that one, and she is probably a real democrat to reveal such terrifying fear.

Does the ad work, the way it is supposed too, anybody else get the heebeejeebee’s from it.

I think it’s creepy, and since almost all of my assets were stolen by GOP thieves, I am a little bias! Now back to catching these guys, any paper documents showing large transfers of funds from Robert M. Jones to Kevin McCarthy, or that type of thing.

What ever happened to the “do not call” list I signed up for? Between “American Lung Association” etc. and McCarthy my phone rings constantly with unwanted solicitations once again. I give and listen generously throughout the year on my own.

Also had bogus “robocall” from McCarthy this evening. His attempt to push an agenda and sound like he knows anything. The AG should put the whole bunch on a polygraph and ask yes/no questions on taking ‘bribes’ from lobbyists.

Dummy McCarthy seems to have started some damage control. Just got a dinner-time robocall from him via a blocked number, the recording inviting me to listen in on a phone-based town hall meeting in which he’ll fill me in on “what’s happening in congress.” This is the very first time since he’s been in office that I’ve received ANY sort of communication from him. I hope it’s the last.

He also bagged many more thousands from RW Hertel, Robert Fowler all while they were defaulting on Bank and Investors loans, needless to say McCarthy has taken Unclean monies from us the tax papers via the defaulted bank loans. Smells very bad. Next will be the federal FEC investigations into this.

I wondered if he had, the plug pulled, another way, like the way you suggest! Got any direct info tying him to Hertel and Fowler, they are definitely on my list of bad guy’s. Letters to Gearhart, or thankful notes from Gearhart for keeping his ass out of prison. Let’s get somebody in this superior above the law being’s dumpster!

Yes, meant DIGGING…Karen is usually great at uncovering these interconnected possible scams-And the documents to prove them..She dropped out on her “Vintage Traditions” lead for some reason-(see CCN page top advertisement) Maybe Hertel’s/Fowler’s documents and emails linking him to his associates were a dead end-Thrown out with the trash?

Keep digging-someone got burned and will sing sooner or later…McCarthy is one slippery act! Buddies with the best of them…

I noticed as soon as Rossi and his Santa Margarita Ranch partners donated /paid for advertisement dollars to CCN, Karen stopped ALL coverage about their associates/land partners registered under different LLC’S together withHertel, Fowler and others-switching lands around-sheltering assets maybe??? Who knows?

I know the digging is about rapped up, (except for me digging my grave), by asking these controversial questions,but I need some answers, anybody got a copy of that cashed check, or one to Robert M. Jones, from Gearhart, or one of his many fraudulent LLC’s. Specifically, “one from the Indian Gaming LLC.?”

The guy does present well. But he is selling the same GOP snake oil. The only time you hear anything positive is when he is promoting his party rather than his district. He signed on with Grover Norquist promising to never vote for a tax increase. When confronted with this, on two separate occasions on Congalton, he used the GOP Fifth Amendment, “I don’t recall” along with a blizzard of other talking points. He will probably make a nice Ken to Sarah’s Barbie. The Wedding Cake ticket!

McCarthy’s generous support from accounting firms is especially interesting in light of that profession’s role as an enabler of recent disasters. Paul Krugman had some interesting things to say about that facet of the story in his recent column:

Wouldn’t this be the same, Kevin McCarthy that took allegedly 1.5 million dollars from Kelly Gearhart, to get the Indian gaming casino, ready for take off? An old quote from, Kelly Gearhart.” We have an assemblyman our pocket.” Anybody please bring me up to date, did this happen? And if so where is the money?

Chese. I seem to recall that at the time the Indian Casino thing hit here (CCN) a blogger made that aqusation but have never heard anymore here or else where since. So not sure about that or rumor??


Heard McCarthy speak at fairgrounds this past summer on health care. Didn’t know much about him till then but I like how he presented himself. Seems to be working on being as bi-partison as possible.
