Avila Beach Fish and Farmer’s Market, event photos
June 19, 2010
Flooded by sunlight and in constant view of the sea, this week’s Fish and Farmer’s Market at Avila Beach was a whirl of fresh berries, roasted corn, and live music with an easygoing vibe.
Popular among locals and out-of-towners alike, the market makes for a vibrant way to spend a Friday afternoon — and still have time for the beach a scant stone’s throw away. Touted for its fresh seafood and local produce, wares also included olive oil, herbs, honey, vinegars, sauces, handmade dog ‘Sc-arfs’ and a myriad of flowers. An elephant-shaped bounce-house and soft rock by Matt Cross and the One Night Band completed the scene.
