Government jobs are not JOBS, they are parasitic opportunities. A J-O-B is what you call it when you create something and someone pays you VOLUNTARILY.

Let’s see… the City of San Luis Obispo’s population has gone up 10% in the last 10 years and the City budget has gone up 4 or 5 times?

A correction is coming.

For those who have a memory, SLO town was a Ghost town during the Jimmy Carter years…

Gotta be a misprint, that 2000 new local govt jobs.

You can count on it taking 20 or so of us working stiffs to pay for one govt employee. So 2000 more of them, MUST equate to 40,000 more of us. And I ain’t seeing it.

There is also a long term impact on the high unemployment rate, almost 20% of children in America are living in poverty.

The economy needs to have jobs growing at this rate for awhile for a recovery to be certain.

Intrinsic Value: Unemployment and Children poverty relationship

Local Gov numbers up by 23%, 2000 new local Gov jobs? Anyone know where?
