Nipomo man arrested for attempted murder

Police arrested a Nipomo man suspected of stabbing an Oceano man repeatedly on Thursday for attempted murder.
Luis Mendoza, 24, allegedly stabbed Fabian Medina, 23, following a fight in Medina’s truck.
Following the altercation, the victim checked himself into the emergency room at Arroyo Grande Hospital. He immediately underwent emergency surgery for multiple stab wounds.
Police arrested Mendoza for attempted murder and booked him into San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $508,150.
Medina is being held at San Luis Obispo County Jail on a felony warrant for a probation violation.
