Missing Cambria man found murdered

Deputies searching for a missing man in Cambria on Sunday found the 20-year-old murder victim’s body about eight hours after he was reported missing, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department.
Early Sunday morning, deputies received a report that Tyler Daniel Hanks was missing. During their investigation, deputies discovered evidence of foul play at a residence on the 400 block of Leightin Street.
Shortly before 5 p.m., deputies found Hanks body at a nearby property. His death appears to be a homicide, officials said.
Officers arrested one resident at the home on Leightin Street for a parole violation. The investigation is ongoing with deputies at the scene.
