Paris Hilton: That’s hot”.

Maybe he read that article in the LA TImes last week about the Vietnam Photographer that caught the monk lighting himself of fire and thought it seemed like a good way to go? Very sad whenever anyone loses all hope and sad for the people that tried to help him. Images and smells that will forever be burned into their memories.

It takes a special place in one’s mind to immolate oneself. There needs to be a “why” to this story. Especially in this day and age, and in this area. Just not something you see here.

Horrible way to die. He must have been one messed up dude.

That’s truly going down in a blaze of glory. Glad he didn’t take anyone else with him.

I’d say we as a community dodged a bullet with this guy. He could have walked into a movie theater, armed and…

But kudos to the bystanders who came to his aid. I don’t evnvy them having that experience imbeded in their memories.

I agree… i don’t know why people think that gun control would stop murder sprees. Molotov cocktails would be just as deadly and gruesome- not to mention cheaper.

Some such attacks have been made with cars, driving into a crowded side walk. This happened in westwood in the 80’s. A worse incident happened a few years ago BY ACCIDENT – a very old man in Santa Monica drove into a huge crowd, killing and injuring just as many people as the recent JOKER shooting in Colorado.

James Eagan Holmes – July 20, 2012, a mass shooting occurred at a Century movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. Ten people died at the scene and two died in local hospitals. I do not know how many were only injured.

George Russell Weller – July 16, 2003, Weller, then age 86, accidentally drove his car through a crowded open-air marketplace in Santa Monica. By the time the car came to a halt, ten people had been killed and 63 were injured.

Mr Cocks obviously wasn’t out to harm anyone but himself. What a sad, tragic story, he must have been in tremendous emotional pain to choose such a hideous means to end his life.

My condolences to his family, God Bless them and him.
