Morro Bay residents have a new chief of police.

Amy Christy, a lieutenant with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Department, was announced Monday as the new top cop by City Manager Andrea K. Lueker.

According to Lueker, Christy “distinguished herself as a top candidate” during an interview process described by city officials as “rigorous.”

Christy, whose mother resides in Morro Bay, will be sworn in Nov. 13. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice management and is pursuing a law degree at Monterey College of Law.

Leuker said Christy “clearly possesses enthusiasm and a true passion for teamwork and community.”

Best of luck to Chief Christy.

Good luck, too, to Tim Olivas as he moves over to the Sheriff’s Office.

.

A woman Police Chief again?! What?! Total and outright blaspheme!

I am sure that all of the true Christians in Morro Bay, along with their respective divisive churches, will start a protest campaign to have Amy Christy removed at once from being their new police chief! Why? Because her proposed position simply goes against biblical principles that they allegedly follow.

Amy Christy will have authority over her police officer men, of which goes directly against Christian Biblical doctrine!

“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” (Timothy 2:12)

When are the second class women going to learn that they were created for us men and that this is their sole purpose in life?

“For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God,

but woman is the glory of man, for man was not made for woman, but woman from

man, neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.” (1 Corin 11:17)

“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” (1 Corinthians 11:3 )

“And God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.” (Genesis 2:18)

It truly sickens Jesus and I to see hypocritical Christians trample upon biblical doctrine as shown in this story. When will they ever learn that they have to follow the biblical principles that were set forth by the Hebrew Christian God’s “inspired word?” Hypocrites!

“And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands; who so pleaseth god shall escape from her, but the sinner shall be taken in by her” (Ecclesiastes 7:26-29)

Now I know what you mean by disparaging comments.

You really do need some help. Maybe a boat adrift out of Morro Bay Harbor would be a good start.

Mr. Holly,

Yes, the written bible can be quite disparaging, to say the least.

I am just the messenger, delivering the message of the Hebrew-Christian God in complete and total context.

In prayer tonight, I will tell the God of the Judeo-Christian bible that you want Him to be set adrift in a boat out of Morro Bay. You will have to deal with the subsequent circumstances of His possible wrath upon you.

Good luck!

You do understand that ol’ Ted’s just yanking your chain, right? He’s been posting this same crap for a long time, just to get reactions. Don’t feed the trolls and they’ll go away.

If what I have read about Ms. Christy is true, then Morro Bay will be in good hands. Too bad the Paso Robles CC couldn’t have done as through a job before hiring Ms. Chitty – we wouldn’t be where we are and the city government would have a much higher confidence level. Even worse is the glaring fact that our city council has washed its hands of the whole sordid affair with Ms. Chitty and have stated that what took place is history, the citizens will just have to suck it up and live with it.

No. We are the employers of the CC and we have ever right to demand answers or demand heads. Let us start with heads – vote in new city council members in November. This can not just go away.

I hope Dennis Cassidy was not on the hiring panel.
