Templeton felon accused of assault

A Templeton man is in jail after he was accused of assaulting another person while wielding a gun.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff deputies responded to reports of gunfire and a possible assault with a deadly weapon to a home on El Pomar Drive in Templeton. Deputies then set up a perimeter before they contacted William Powell, 44, by phone and convinced him to surrender.

The alleged victim was uninjured.

Deputies booked Powell into San Luis Obispo County Jail for assault while in possession of a firearm and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Laws have protected every single person ever shot in America… Laws aren’t what keep you safe, it’s much more complex. Revolving door Justice is the root. “Oh, he’s reformed. Let him out.” This is what lead our hot head in Templeton to walking amongst us.

Tougher sentencing, less touchy feely judges would be a great start.


Good thing it’s against the law for felons to posses guns. I feel much safer with laws to protect me.
