Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Pamona’s joint effort float, “Tuxedo Air” consisted of penguins trying to fly. The float featured a team of penguins launching another penguin into the air using propeller-powered wings.

The Cal Poly students used only flowers grown on the Central Coast to construct the float.

Tuesday’s parade was the 124th annual Roses parade and had the theme of “Oh, The Place You’ll Go.” Cal Poly students have built floats appearing in the parade for more than 60 years.
