The Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s office said Wednesday that a group of alleged killers tortured their victim which would open the door for a death penalty prosecution. [KCOY]

Three men and a woman are in jail on murder charges after police discovered the body of 28-year-old Anthony Ibarra inside a U-Haul truck parked in an Orcutt residential neighborhood on Tuesday.

After discovering the body, officers arrested Ramon Maldonado, 37, Carmen Cardenas, 28, and Pedro Torres, 54, for murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Officers arrested a  fourth suspect, Reyes Gonzales, 41, for a probation violation on Tuesday. He was charged for Ibarra’s murder on Wednesday.

Law enforcement officers continue to look for a fifth suspect.

A lover’s quarrel is being looked at as a possible motive in the grisly murder.

The victim, Ibarra, is the father of two young children with a woman named Sunni Sosa, who KCOY learned is Gonzales’ sister. Last year, Gonzales was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, child endangerment and a probation violation.

Gangbangers and probably over drugs or women…

These are all known gang members, prison parolees, and drug dealers, according to the Santa Maria Times. Be sure you refer to them only with the greatest respect, or your comment will be deleted by the CCN Moderator.

That’s the face of our growing population in Southern California. Better get used to it real quick. Lot’s of luck.

A “family matter”.

Looks like the kind of guy you could take home to satan.
