Jealousy over a woman fueled Oceano fatal fight

A fatal fight in Ocean last summer was prompted by jealousy over a woman who was dating the victim, according to court documents. [Tribune]
On the night of June 21, Joseph Munoz encountered a man whose girlfriend he had been making sexual advances towards. During a fight that ensued, Munoz allegedly stabbed 25-year-old Joseph Luis Padilla to death in front of a home on the 1300 block of 19th Street in Oceano.
Munoz fled the scene and was arrested three days later following a 20 minute high-speed chase. He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on Dec. 4.
