Grover Beach robber dubbed the Beachcomber Bandit

FBI agents are searching for a bank robber dubbed the Beachcomber Bandit who struck in Grover Beach in June. [LA Times]
The bandit robbed a Rabobank on Grand Avenue at gunpoint about one month after he held up a bank in Long Beach. Federal officials have named him the Beachcomber Bandit because his affinity for coastal cities.
Investigators describe the robber as a man about 35 to 45 years old who wears a gray sweatshirt with a hood pulled over a baseball cap. He also has a graying goatee and possibly a mustache.
In both of the robberies, the Beachcomber Bandit carried a black handgun that possibly had a light attached.
Agents are also currently searching for bank robbers in northern and southern California.
The “Bad Breath Bandit” wore a surgical mask during robberies in Northern California. The “Keep Smiling Bandit” advised tellers he robbed in Orange County to keep smiling while they handed him cash.
Agents are requesting that anyone with information about the suspects contact the FBI.
