December 21, 2014

carA burglar broke into the Sky Nails and Spa in Paso Robles and stole an ATM machine on Friday.

Shortly after 6 a.m., a security camera caught a Hispanic male broke the glass on the front door and carry out the ATM machine containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The thief then took off in a light-colored sedan.

I’m against stealing and I hope they catch the guy, but portable ATMs seem to me that the bank is taking a huge risk. It’s like having a teller full of cash out on the street just hoping nothing bad happens. Seems kinda stupid to me.

Those machines are privately owned. People invest in them to get a cut of the ridiculously high transaction fees for the privilege of convenience. They are sold and leased by the thousands.

When was this…..saw this on the regular news days ago…

So did he rob a bank or a nail salon? Who owns the money in a portable ATM?

he does, for now.

Any photo of the suspect? Where’s he from? Local guy?

Where is he from? Local guy? I about laughed out loud when I saw this. Umm if they knew both of those, most likely he would be in custody.
