Oceano man found guilty of child molestation
June 10, 2015
A San Luis Obispo County jury found a 76-year-old Oceano man guilty of nine felony counts of child molestation on Tuesday. The abusive conduct spanned from 1995 to 2011.
Elias Ramirez Sosa was found guilty of sexually molested children while watching them for relatives. He molested the children at his home and also outside local schools when he dropped the children off in the mornings.
One of the victims, now living out of state, first reported the abuse, said Deputy District Attorney Greg Devitt. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department investigated the allegations and discovered three more victims.
“He went from child, to child, to child from 195 to 2011,” Devitt said.
Sosa faces a maximum sentence of 136 years to life and a minimum sentence of 15 years to life. He will be sentenced on July 7th.
