Video of grass fire off Highway 101 near Buellton

UPDATE: At 7 p.m., the fire off Highway 101 at the Nojoqui Summit south of Buellton is 80 percent contained. Fire officials have limited the fire to 5 to 6 acres and said earlier reports were incorrect. Highway 101 was shut down for a short time while a fire in a drainpipe was extinguished. U.S. Highway 101 is now open but moving slowly.
ORIGINAL: A grass fire burning on both sides of Highway 101 at the Nojoqui Summit south of Buellton has burned approximately 15 acres. Light winds are picking up and moving the fire, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department news line.

At about 4:40 p.m., the fire was reported at the top of the grade. Firefighters responded to find several acres of light vegetation burning. The fire is also burning in a drainpipe running under Highway 101.

Both directions of Highway 101 are open, though traffic is slow because of the smoke.
