Armed robber sought in Shell Beach holdup

Pismo Beach police are seeking an armed man who stole a woman’s purse at gunpoint in Shell Beach Saturday night and has since evaded capture.
At about 10:30 p.m., the woman was getting out of a car in the 300 block of Montecito Avenue when the armed robber approached. The suspect then grabbed the woman’s purse and fled on foot, according to the Pismo Beach Police Department.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans.
According to police, the suspect may have been associated with a white sedan. Investigators request that anyone with information about the case contact the Pismo Beach Police Department Investigations Unit.
