Grover Beach Police arrested a man who allegedly entered a Grover Beach home on Saturday and attempted to sexually assault a woman.

At about 11 a.m., Angel Rene Torres, age 38, went to a home on the 1500 block of La Selva Avenue and sexually battered a woman who was trying to escape from him. Another resident in the home approached Torres, and the suspect fled to a neighboring residence.

Officers performed a probation search of the neighboring home, and found drug paraphernalia.

After the victim made a positive identification of Torres, officers arrested Torres on charges of burglary, false imprisonment, sexual battery, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of felony probation and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail. His bail is set at $50,000.
