Gee, wonder why this is. Maybe a lack of good education in the area. Atascadero is one of the lowest paying school district’s in the state. They appear to be reaping what they’ve sown.

Yeah sure, there all victims of low payed teachers in a low paid school district. Typical blame somebody else logic.

Young drug users, post that picture on your fridge. Great deterrent.

Atweaksadero?

What is happening to Atascadero? Here we have a drug house going on, and if my memory serves me there was another big drug bust at this house or one near by some time back. Now we have 3 businesses accused of prostitution in the downtown area. There is an increase in visual homelessness. More and more bars and tasting rooms are coming to town. I guess it’s great for the political growth but it no longer or will it ever be the nice bedroom community that Atascadero was. At least they were the last one to hold out on selling out to the tourism. But my hat goes off to the Atascadero Police Department for their outstanding job of trying to keep up and/or ahead of these problems.

Pretty much exactly why I moved out of the area. It’s pretty sad what happened to the place

Selling out to tourism? No one ever said, let’s plan a weekend and drive to Atascadero, ever.

Now Paso, let’s go to the fair or the lake.

Just wait and you will see. These hotel people and bars just don’t decide to stop along the road and build multi million dollar facilities. They do it because they know where the future lies and that’s their pocketbooks and the bed tax that the city glamors for from TOURISM.

Don’t forget the two or three murders in Oceano in the last couple months, the weekly Killings in SM, the political corruption of the CC, The rape statistics and apparent upper echelon denial Cal poly, the sheriffs dept track record of public loss of lives…shall we go on?. Yes, what has happen to the central coast one should ask.
