SLO police chief loses her gun, and now her car

August 22, 2019

Chief Deanna Cantrell

A little more than a month after San Luis Obispo Chief Police Deanna Cantrell’s gun was taken from a restaurant bathroom, her personal car was stolen from Santa Margarita, according to a law enforcement source. [Cal Coast Times]

The chief’s son had parked Cantrell’s Hyundai Elantra in Santa Margarita. On Wednesday afternoon, he discovered the car had been stolen.

Officers found the car six hours later in Daly City, with a naked woman inside, according to KSBY. Officers arrested the woman.

Last month, Cantrell left her pistol on the toilet paper holder in the bathroom of an El Pollo Loco restaurant. A day later, the man who found the loaded gun turned it into law enforcement.

Even so, Cantrell’s department asked the district attorney to charge the man with grand theft of a firearm, possession of stolen property and carrying a loaded firearm in public. Her request was denied.

Ironically Daly City was the city within the song, Little Boxes.

I did an informal poll of friends and business associates:

100% of us have had naked women in the car at one time or another, for various reasons. In each case, the women were people we knew.

I’m just guessing that Chief Cantrell and/or her son knows this particular naked woman…..

As the official stories come out, one by one, version after version, it will be interesting to learn this naked woman’s story. Again, this is just speculation from a keyboard warrior, but I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that perhaps this naked woman doesn’t realize that she stole her friend’s car…..and that she knows the Cantrell’s.

It’s time for some training!

Where’s the seminar on leaving spare keys in plain sight in a vehicle?

Skeeter stole it and abducted the naked woman.

The answer lies with her son, who has issues. The car was taken between 6am and 2pm. Did he drive the car and leave it at 6am? Odd hour. Was the naked woman with him? Who’s residence? Let’s see how this is spun. The truth may be too hard for the chief to reveal. I think all of these screw ups require an outside investigation. It’s embarrassing. And shameful.

Hmmm.. the son has issues. “Mom, I was just following your example!”

The kid is part of a park-n-ride carpool with other employees who all work at a company in SLO. They meet up there at 6am and three of them ride share into town.

Could this get any weirder?

Cantrell is rumored to be seeking the death penalty for the naked lady.

For the rest between your lines…Cantrell’s son was on an all nighter date at Margarita brewing with physco date. She lives in Marg BTW. Things got funky at “O” dark thirty and, lets be politically correct, the one who identifies as a female pissed off JR cause he couldn’t perform up to snuff. A argument started in and In total embarasment he grabbed her clothes, jumped out of the car screaming profanities and told her to go to Hxxxx. She did, close enough, off to the bay area. A story was fabricated, the rest is history, along with the prison sentence for, ahem, stealing the chiefs ride.

All right… let’s agree we’ve all been there, Snoid, naked, crazy, pissed off, headin’ south in the company car. Now, there could be more to this story (irony intended).

But if this is true, then I vote for a more lenient sentence, say, flogging ’til a confession can be obtained.

Naked, of course.

A great TV movie plot: the naked lady is the chief’s wife

Now the big question is, is she over or under the “naked woman riding in a car” weight limit.

She loses everything but her job….

My first thought is, Karma is a B……. and Chief Cantrell still has more coming. Second at least her son has learned not to wait 8 hours before reporting that he had lost possession of something, his car, but then again a car is more dangerous that a loaded firearm???? Third, it a good thing the car has been found so Chief Cantrell does not have to send out her Detective hit squad to violate someone else’s civil rights and perform a warrantless search and destroy a innocent family, but then again she probably will since she feels she can do anything she wants without concerns that it is legal or that she will be held responsible.

A local propaganda dispenser has this to say:

“”The vehicle, a 2014 Hyundai, was stolen in Santa Margarita between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to Sgt. Kevin Phillips and CHP Officer Pat Seebart.””

and

“”The vehicle was locked, but the keys weren’t all accounted for, Seebart said. Officers suspect a key may have been in a visible location inside the car, allowing someone to break in and steal it, he said.””

Like I said on the previous page, “It will be interesting to hear the first few official explanations of this situation.” Well, I’m interested!

Cantrell’s son must have been sleeping in. The car was stolen between 6 AM and 2 PM. It’s also a time that naked women can be seen roaming the streets and back allies of Santa Margarita….so this part of the story adds up.

Now, like so many of us, Cantrell keeps her keys all separate and at the bottom of a pocket or purse….no key ring. Like most of us, she keeps a few ignition keys, a few valet keys, a handful of house keys….keys to work….you know, the usual stuff. All separate….no key ring.

While this is a common practice—who doesn’t have a handful of loose keys on them at any given time?—-it does get a little tricky when it comes time to lock the vehicle. You’ve got to make sure that all the keys are gathered up and in your pocket!

It sounds like Cantrell’s son was careful to lock up….but perhaps not as careful to gather up all the loose ignition keys and left one or two on the seat or on the floor…..

Folks…..don’t do this. These naked women have sharp eyes and they’re always on the prowl, looking for keys, shiny objects, spare guns…..anything they can find, really.

Suggestions for the Cantrell’s going forward:

1. Get a key ring. Yes, it’s a hassle gathering up all the keys together and carrying them in one big bunch…..but it will cut down on opportunistic crimes like this one. If the naked woman hadn’t seen the key, she would not have committed the crime.

2. Don’t park in Santa Margarita unless there is video surveillance 24/7. It leads the nation for cars stolen by naked women in broad daylight and no vehicle is safe.
