Illegal cannabis lab ignites house fire in Arroyo Grande

A marijuana honey oil lab explosion sparked an Arroyo Grande house fire on Monday, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 4:30 p.m., a caller reported a fire at a home in the 100 block of Brisco Road. One resident suffered minor injuries as a result of the blaze.

Investigators determined the fire was sparked by a lab in the home’s kitchen that was converting marijuana into honey oil. Damage caused by the blaze was limited to the property where the fire occurred.

The SLO County Sheriff’s Special Operations Unit has taken over the investigation from Arroyo Grande police. Sheriff’s officials will seek criminal charges against the operator of the lab for manufacturing a drug.

Authorities have yet to release the identity of the suspect.

This whole cannabis thing is effecting innocent bystanders….Yesterday I went to county (not SLO) to get process started on 2 adjoining lots I own …water and sewer connect fees which some would consider cheap …I don’t …13k plus supplies and labor … ..buttt county won’t allow power installation till 17k building or it is files and plans approved …I asked why can’t I just put utilities in place so my lots have more value ….county money Gruber proudly says to me ” Because of the Mariauna Growers ” county won’t allow power install without full building permit and house plans … And No Storage Or garage Or Tiny Home Allowed …must be a regular size home as primary ….So I say Now Thanks To You Pot Growers I now have to give county 30k plus other expenses ….can’t even do mobile home hook ups ….i only paid 10k for lots in a great area in town 1 block from school and stores etc ….So thanks to mariauna and honey oil etc etc my lots are going to stay bare for quite awhile unless I get fired up and go to council meetings newspapers etc etc

65 Buick … Yes in the exact words I stated … And tried to accuse me of wanting to grow ….I’ve owned the lots 5 years .. I can’t stand weed …I go into a business and all the employees are stoned its like a 5 year old working the cash register its a really bad joke on the public ….or I see employees come outside at 1030 am break get high and go back to driving forklifts at their manufacturing jobs …I don’t see any long term benefit to the general public and the gov is definately not receiving 100% of taxes collected …that’s the best joke of the year

Idiot… 7 years in prison for that. Could have bought a hair straighter and parchment paper at walmart and pressed their own safely and legally for under $30.
