Cal Poly students throw Saint Fratty’s Day party, no masks

March 13, 2021

A large off-campus party attended by approximately 150 Cal Poly San Luis Obispo students on Saturday morning has sparked concerns that spring break and “Saint Fratty’s Day” parties will lead to an increase in COVID-19 cases.

After attendees posted videos of students dancing, drinking and climbing telephone poles, the Cal Poly and SLO Police departments announced they are looking into the gathering. In addition, campus administrators are working to determine if students or campus organizations participated in or organized the event, according to Matt Lazier, Cal Poly’s media relations director.

“We are looking into the gatherings that took place today to determine whether Cal Poly students or organizations were involved, and we will respond appropriately to all violations of health and safety guidelines,” Lazier wrote. “This includes holding accountable any students who receive citations from any police agency this morning via our Student Code of Conduct (which prohibits students from violating local, state, or federal laws).”

Typical disrespectful frat pigs. No respect for the locals.

They are kids, hard to blame them when our ex president never wear a mask.

This is why the school should have stayed virtual another year…but with covid infected people crossing the southern border I guess what difference does it make at this point….many of those folks are probably headed straight to our fields….and ranches….

Apparently college is the only business where anything a paying adult customer does off premises on their own free time that said business finds distasteful, the business believes they have the right to assume the role of judge, jury, and executioner of that customer.

The behavior of these students is irresponsible, reckless, and probably illegal, but they are adults and any punishment for that behavior should be handled through the established justice system and not some college kangaroo court.

The poor neighbors.

These posts speak volumes about certain areas of north SLO County, KPRL style.

If your referring to speaking the truth and holding individuals accountable and responsible for their actions, then I agree.

Dude (Durd?), check out my screen name. Where do you think I live? Where do you think Keith Gurnee lives? And both of us for a long time, not like you, Heidi and Tianna.

Were you the two who lost their car keys at IHOP?

Good for them!!!

The guy on the utility pole is a pussy, nothing but phone and cable. He should be on the pole in the background, 12kV PG&E. Now that’s balls!

He’s attempting to rescue his lovers shoes from the wire while drinking a beer…Now that’s skillful.

Transition Poly to complete distance learning, even laboratory education can be youtubed. Then use all student housing, on and off campus, and all other campus facilities for housing and services for the ever increasing homeless. Problem solved!

Can I down vote this more than once? If you build it they will come.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, people on this site do not get sarcasm.
