Unmanned vehicle crashes into bus stop

December 27, 2012

An unmanned car crashed into a bus stop at the corner of Grand Avenue and Abbott Street in San Luis Obispo shortly before 1 a.m. today.

The improperly secured Mitsubishi Eclipse rolled off a flatbed truck onto Highway 101, took the Grand Avenue exit, crossed Grand Avenue and plowed into a city bus stop.

Police arrived at the scene and reported that the driver had fled. Daniel Conrow, 21, arrived shortly afterwards and explained he was unable to exit with the Eclipse and continued northbound until he was able to turn around.

Police cited Conrow for hauling an unsafe load.

Good thing no one was sitting there.

Hmmm…would this be considered a partial eclipse, or possibly, a full eclipse?
