Cayucos fire spreads to 89 acres

A grass fire that broke out shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday east of Cayucos has grown to 89 acres.
Cal Fire tweeted that the fire burning near Toro Creek and Montecito road is 30 percent contained. Additional engines, crews and aircraft have been dispatched to battle what has been dubbed the Creek Fire.
Power lines are down and PG&E personnel are headed to the scene. Difficult access and high winds are hampering firefighters’ efforts.
