Apparent suicide follows ax attack in Los Osos

September 5, 2015

crime sceneA man reportedly committed suicide after attacking a woman with an ax in a Los Osos home Wednesday evening.

The man is believed to be in his 20s, and the woman is 58 years old, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office. The woman suffered wounds, but survived.

Around 8:30 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a dispute between a male and a female at a home in the 400 block of Woodland Drive. When deputies arrived, the woman said the man attacked her with an ax.

The woman managed to escape and run to a neighbor’s house for help. An ambulance transported her to a local hospital.

Shots were fired inside the home during the incident, a sheriff’s office press release states. Responders then set up a perimeter around the home.

The suspect was later found dead in the backyard with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigators say there are no outstanding suspects, and it was an isolated incident.

The victim’s condition is not known, according to the sheriff’s office. She was alert, though, and she was talking with investigators.

I think we need the police to go around and confiscate all axes in the US….and if you buy a axe you must be 21 or older and have a complete backround check and mental exam..

Further proof the death penalty does not deter. He chose death.

Oh yes it does. When put to death the criminal will be forever deterred from committing more crimes.

You don’t really know what “deter” means, do you? Death penalty advocates say it prevents the person from doing the first crime. That is not what happened. What happened is: HE KILLED HIMSELF! Because he could not stand going to jail or because he could not stand to live any longer with his mental condition.

If the death penalty deterred, the US would have the lowest homicide rate in the developed world. Instead, we have the highest homicide rate in the developed world. If a person has half a brain, that would tell them something.

“Suspect had an AX”

“Police showed up”

“Suspect died of self-inflicted gunshot wound”

What is your point Roy; I mean besides the one on the top of your head?

He also has a hole in his head, but that’s beside the point.

Where was the gun in all of this? He had a gun and an axe, but wanted to use the axe to attempt to kill? I did not see the gun mentioned anywhere in the story, just the wound that (ultimately) killed him.

Why are you surprised? It IS Los Osos we are talking about.

Where is the outcry for more ax control?

Suspect had an AX.

Police showed up.

Suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The world just keeps getting more bizarre. It is like there are implanted chips in people’s brains are randomly provoking them to just….kill….or at least attempt to do so. Movie theaters, schools….in their own homes. That, and there was this random sci fi book I read once…something about wars over water.

Indeed. Either there is more news coverage of these kinds of incidents or mental illness must be contagious!

These kinds of mental illness are created by the chemicals these kids ingest, namely bath salts and synthetic marijuana.

These types of crimes are a preview of coming attractions. Streets in ny were recently referred to as something out of the walking dead as these young adults have all turned to zombies.
