Murder victims’ family gives thanks

More than a week has passed since our beloved Tierney and Judy were taken from us. The days since their deaths have been filled with peaks and valleys.

We want to thank the Fresno, Clovis, and coastal communities for rallying behind us; the media for bringing awareness to Dave McCann’s whereabouts; the online community for sharing Tierney and Judy’s story; Peter Thanos, the gentlemen who led police to Dave; and, of course, every law enforcement agency that spent endless resources and the officers who spent countless hours away from their families.

This tragedy has allowed us to meet some amazing, heart-warming, caring and beautiful people. It has also brought us closer to friends and family who we’ve lost touch with over the years. If one must find a silver lining in such circumstances, this is ours.

This weekend, we celebrated Tierney and Judy’s lives during a private memorial service. We kindly request privacy as we mourn these two precious lives gone too soon.

This nightmare is far from over for us as court proceedings will soon begin. We graciously ask for the community’s continued prayers for strength and healing.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything you’ve done for our family. We’re moved by the love, support, and generosity of our community.
