August 10, 2010

Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Motel 6 clerk at knife point on Monday at around 10:30 p.m. [KSBY]

Officers responded to a 911 call from the motel located on the 200 block of Atascadero Road. Shortly afterwards, officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by the man identified as the robber, Joshua Lee Drinnon, 31.

He fled from the vehicle and escaped leaving his passenger Amber Lashea Lunsford, 29, behind.

Officers arrested Lunsford on suspicion of robbery, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.

Drinnon is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Witnesses of Mondays robbery said Drinnon appeared to be wearing a black curly wig.

Drinnon is wanted by Tennessee State Authorities because of a similar incident.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Drinnon. Police are asking the public to call 911 or local police if they see him.

He is considered armed and dangerous.
