Head-on collision: Drunk driver going the wrong way on Higuera

An alleged drunk driver going the wrong way on Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo crashed head-on into another vehicle injuring two men Saturday night at about 2 a.m.

Police say 24-year-old Melissa Hernandez of Grover Beach was driving a Saturn Astra the wrong way when she struck a Ford Expedition near West End Espresso and Tea.

Both the driver of the Expedition, Tony Davis, 35, of Paso Robles and his passenger, Sone Ross Jr., 35, of San Miguel suffered minor injuries due to the impact and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Hernandez was arrested for felony drunk driving causing an injury and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

listen people none of you have the right to base judgment on anyone let alone post comments about anyone whos non relation to you. this was an accident that many people make on a day to day basis. and for trebor 86 you have kno idea obviously of what your talking about so why dont you leave your discriminating comments to yourself and dont past judgment.. also that wasnt the same person in the park with a little girl so get your story straight why dont all of you go back to playing world of warcraft and get a life instead of exploiting others on the internet when this person has a family that sees every comment posted. in my opinion this photo should be erased from this website.

she looks like a girl living next to ramona park, on 10th street. She was in the park with her little girl, with a cup of what smelled like wine. Hair’s a little different, but… hope she learns her lesson.
