Two injured in San Luis Obispo plane crash

Two people were injured when the single engine vintage plane they were flying crashed Thursday morning in the 1100 block of Stenner Creek Road on the Cal Poly campus.
The pilot radioed controllers at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport that there were problems with the 1941 Aeronca single engine plane they were piloting at 9:50 a.m. When emergency responders arrived they found one of the victims had climbed from the wreckage, the other required extraction.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
