Capps’ bill promotes self employment

Congresswoman Lois Capps is pushing a new bill with a focus of helping job seekers move into self-employment. [ModestoBee]

Capps introduced the bill in late May. It is slated to make training available for would-be entrepreneurs through local Workforce Investment Boards.

In 2010, the Department of Labor assigned Workforce Investment Boards to provide self-employment training. But they have shied away from training because present Labor Department guidelines are geared toward traditional job creation and placement, Capps said.

“As we work to help small businesses grow and create jobs, we can’t overlook the importance of the smallest of businesses – our innovative entrepreneurs,” Capps said in a statement introducing the bill.

Today, the Entrepreneurial Training Improvement Act of 2012, which focuses new attention on job seekers who are looking to create their own jobs by starting their own businesses, is in committee.

California, which had 440 adults per 100,000 starting businesses in 2010, trails only Arizona in entrepreneurial activity. Nationwide, about 543,000 businesses were created each month in 2011, according to the Kauffman index.

Jesus TRUMPS all in the fact that He followed and promoted the Mosaic Laws, period!!!!!!


Jesus said; “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill” (Matthew 5:17). Jesus also said that nothing He said could be deemed to trump the Father, as in the Old Testament Laws that God wrote, for God rules over Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:3).


Jesus supports the Laws of the Old Testament ad infinitum in John 5: 45-47 and Matthew 5:18-19, just to name a few.In Matthew 5:18-19 Jesus states, to wit: ” “For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven”


It is not gloating when I have forgotten more than 99.99 percent of the pseudo-christians that inhabit CCN!

Lois Capps has initiated a bill to create jobs. What have the Republican’s done in this respect since taking back the House of Representives?


Remember back in 2010 when John Boehner’s Republican political mantra was “creating more jobs, jobs, jobs?” Search YouTube for the many videos supporting this fact. That is why the Republicans were elected. But, what has happened since then on the job creating front? NOTHING!


What is more important to Republicans, instead of jobs, and what they have been intensely focused on since winning back the House in 2010, is defending the unconstitutional Defense of Marriage Act, restricting contraception use, assaulting women’s rights by being “uterus monitors”, and sending more Americans into poverty with Draconian cuts to social safety nets to make room for more tax breaks for the rich. Are these the reasons they were elected? NO!


It has been the GOP’s (Gods own Party) goal to obstruct President Obama’s job creation plans to restrict economic growth. THEY HAVE VOTED AGAINST EVERY JOB BILL THAT HAS COME UP FOR DISCUSSION AND INITIATED CLOTURE MANY TIMES WHERE JOB BILLS CAN’T EVEN COME UP FOR A VOTE!!!


Republicans imply they are concerned with creating jobs with their simple-minded rhetoric, BU*L SH*T! Their ideology is giving the so-called wealthy “job creators” and corporations more tax breaks at the expense of the middle-class.


Like Brother Bob from San Luis stated, we’ve had the Bush tax cuts for the rich since 2001, and Reagan’s “trickle down economics” since 1989, that were to create and maintain jobs.


So we ask you, where are the jobs, and where is the wealth that trickled down to the poor, that these programs were to create and maintain at the present time?! Why is “Boner” quiet upon this topic? In answering, remember that Jesus is watching you in being outright hypocrites if you adhere to continuing with any further tax cuts for the wealthy for the act of allegedlly creating jobs and wealth to the poor and middle-class!

Our God deliberately killed the unborn of the women of Ephraim! Deducing it to today’s terms, our God was an abortionist, plain and simple. It matters not whether the women or men of Ephraim committed sins, because it is the killing of “innocent” life in the womb that is the main concern, as it is today. This is barring His anti-life stance in general in the Old Testament.


Within Hosea 9:16, we have our ever-loving and forgiving God agreeing with Hosea to abort the women’s fruit of the womb by stating, “…yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.” With a discerning eye, start with chapter 9 of Hosea for full context of this disturbing narrative to the pseudo-christian.


Keep this biblical knowledge quiet, okay? Can you imagine in what the pro-abortion factions would do if they got a hold of the Hosea narrative and read it for what it is worth, in that it explicitly shows our God being an abortionist! Can you believe how this would upset the apple cart relative to picketing abortion clinics by our Christian brethren? Can we spell h-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e-s?

Please keep in mind that there were no Christians in the OT and Christ’s teachings were inconsistent with Mosaic law. In fact, Peter made it clear in Acts that Christ and his teachings were to be the focus of Christians and NOT Mosaic Law.

Therefore the Old Laws that you are having a hard time accepting, are LAW to Christians and Jews today, PERIOD!

If we’re to believe your insidious notion that Jesus didn’t support the Old Testament Laws, then are you going to inform the many people that display the 10 Commandments to remove them from their homes? Do you have the audacity to tell the US, Supreme Court to remove all references to the Mosaic Laws within the confines of their buildings? Yes?
