Californians like Obamacare

August 20, 2012

A majority of Californians support the Affordable Care Act but most don’t believe the law will affect them very much. (Sacramento Bee)

The most recent Field Poll shows 54 percent of registered voters favor the federal effort to overhaul health care, and 37 percent oppose it.

Conducted for the California Wellness Foundation, the poll found that many Californians remain uninsured in a heavily Democratic state, and that support for the Obama administration’s reform measure increased substantially among voters following the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling upholding the law.

The poll’s authors said their work has a plus-or-minus margin of error of 2.9 percent.

New study shows that healthcare costs under Obama’s so-called “Affordable Care Plan” will increase costs an average of 32%.

[By 2017, costs in California will rise 62%, in Maryland they will rise 67%, and in Ohio they will soar 80%. If you want free health care, you have to pay for it.]

“Doctor, stop this nonsense. Consult your Obamacare Bible. Nowhere in it does it say there is a disease caused by GMOs. You can’t make that diagnosis. It won’t fly. You won’t get paid if you submit that insurance form. And you’ll get into trouble. Federal agents will visit your office. They’ll put you through the mill. They’ll threaten to cancel your ticket to practice medicine.”

Local governments to feel Obamacare’s rising costs as well

Municipal budgets take health-care hit in 2013

By Duffy Hayes

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Local governments—perhaps like many Americans and business owners—are eyeing their budgets for 2013 and projecting they’ll be paying more in health care costs, some by quite a lot.

Hmm… Has merit. Looks, however, like heathcare money thinks Obama will stay.

Possibly the tea party is more vocal (especially here) than truly strong. Like the last cry of aging dinosaurs.

Yes : We need Not stoop to the level of name calling. Speaking as an Independent, I hope the angry discussions will tone down to productive dialog. United We Stand & Divided We Fall still applies. Now anyone who took high school advanced math could tell you …. This plan doesn’t follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Politician will take care of their own and its all very disingenuous. The law only passed due to the …. The Nebraska Windfall Agreement’ But Sadly………… When the last Doctor accepting “New” Medicare patients leaves practice ….. we will have that Adult conversation.

Jesus. What a Greek chorus of repugs on this site. Tell the truth and twenty five index fingers ( I don’t believe they have opposable thumbs) vote against it. If, if you get your way and regain power, what do you wish to accomplish? Have you thought of a positive idea? Or do you simply want to offer yourself up for further exploitation by your betters?

slomike…You know that their solution for everything is ‘survival of the fittest’ . Social Darwinism.

So, everyone is dead except for one big, fat bully.

That’s the Republican …”trickle down” theory in operation.

I say that us civilizatiionalists kill the fascists ( they are unremediable ) and institute a true democratic republic.
