Sheriff offering $500 for sex offender

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is offering $500 for information leading to the arrest of a convicted sex offender who failed to register and appear in court.
Matthew James Booker, 37, previously a resident of Templeton, committed lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14.
Booker is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 230 pounds. He drives a 1999 white Ford pickup truck with a California license plate number 6R67158 and an arbor tree logo on the side.
The sheriff’s office says Booker has been known to frequent the Paso Robles and San Miguel areas.
