Fernando Santiago, 28, drove his Toyota 4-Runner into the median north of San Marcos Road in San Miguel around 10:15 p.m. on Monday. The vehicle rolled twice and ejected Santiago.
California Highway Patrol officers determined that Santiago was driving under the influence of alcohol and not wearing a seatbelt.
Officers say that Santiago lost control of the vehicle after he over-corrected. The CHP said they believe he was not carrying any passengers.
