Four more busted in Iberra slaying

Authorities in Santa Maria have taken four more men into custody in connection with Tuesday’s murder of Anthony Iberra, 28, joining four others arrested earlier. (Noozhawk)
Among those suspected of conspiracy in the torture slaying are David Murillo Maldonado, 55; Santos Manuel Sauceda, 33; Robert Sosa, 19; and Anthony Solis, 28, all of Santa Maria.
The men are thought to be responsible for aiding in the killing Ibarra and leaving his body in a U-Hail rental truck in Orcutt to be discovered by police after receiving an anonymous tip.
Arrested Wednesday were Ramon Maldonado, 37, of Santa Maria; Reyes Gonzales Jr., 42, of Guadalupe; Carmen Cardenas, 28, and Pedro Torres, 54, all of Santa Maria, and all of whom are facing first-degree murder charges.
No motive for the crime has been offered by investigators, although it is suspected that it was gang-related.
