A website founded on the Central Coast provides women the opportunity to get free breast implants. [KCOY]
MyFreeImplants.com is part of a new growing social media trend – where women ask potential benefactors to pay for their surgeries. After surgeries, the site posts before and after photos.
One University of California, Santa Barbara student, Paula Sanchez, raised $600 in one week.
“I get one dollar for every message I receive and these are separate donations,” Sanchez told KCOY. “I never thought I would be able to get that kind of money to have that kind of surgery then I found this site and realized, why not?”
Since it became operational seven years ago, the site has funded 200 to 300 surgeries each year.
