Early Wednesday, a 2012 Chevy Impala passed a sheriff’s patrol car heading in the opposite direction. The deputies ran the plates of the Impala and saw that it was reported stolen out of Lompoc.

The deputies arrested Natalie Rae Fuentes, 28, and Anthony Scott Davenport, 19, for auto theft, criminal conspiracy, possession of a forged driver’s license and receiving stolen property.

Fuentes and Davenport are in San Luis Obispo County Jail on $500,000 bail.

But, good job for the officer(s) noticing the car and running the plates. Good old fashion policing still works. Good job officers!

Sounds like another example of law enforcement gathering license plate info en bulk and stumbling upon one that came up ‘stolen’ when the data was processed.

Your government is tracking your every move.

    $500,000 bail?!? WOW!

Shamed detective Pierce must be laughing all the way to the bank with his measley $10K bail.
