August 19, 2013
Knives were flying Sunday in Paso Robles as police reported two incidents, both on Pine Street, one of which involved the stabbing of a 16-year-old youth.
Officers responded to the scene of the first reported incident in the 1100 block of Pine when several Hispanic men were said to be fighting. Witnesses reported that the men ran off before officers could arrive, and that one of the men appeared to have been stabbed.
In another, later incident around 9:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Pine, the youth was stabbed in the arm and back after he was attacked by several Hispanic males in front of his home.
According to police, it is not known if the incidents were gang-related.
Officials are searching for three vehicles reported to have been used in the incidents: a gold Chevrolet pickup with a bed cover; a brown four-door Honda or Acura; and a silver Pontiac Grand Am with a dent near the rear of the vehicle.
